How to apply leave-in conditioner to protect your hair!

Even though this product is called a "detangler," it's also described as an all in 1 spray meant to detangle, protect, strengthen, etc. But either way, detangling ingredients ARE conditioning ingredients too! Also, this video isn't a direct response to Sofia's routine because she applies a hair mask all over her hair after this step. That will obviously condition her hair further. Instead, this is meant generally for anyone who typically applies leave in products like this, because I see it ALL the time (and most people are not applying a hair mask after their leave in conditioner)! Changing how I apply leave in conditioner has made such a difference in the health of my hair- I'll never go back! If you have very fine and/or thin hair, you can (of course) modify this to suit your hair type so that you don't end up with heavy, sticky hair. As always, do what works best for your hair! #sofiarichie #sofiarichiehair #hairtutorial #hairhacks

I like lotion based leave in conditioners. It’s easier to apply and it doesn’t leave your hardwood floor’s slippery as an ice rink. 😂

This seems so straightforward yet somehow I’ve never applied my leave in conditioner this way 😅 thank you for all the wonderful hair care tips!

I have thin and fine shoulder length hair, so I just spray my leave-in in my hands and then apply. Hair like mine can be overdone with conditioner super easily.

Thank you for all of your science and trial based videos! You’re awesome!

I just spray it on my hand and apply it manually as needed. Less waste. And much easier to get into various spots.

My hair dresser told me to use the tiniest amount of my regular conditioner and to apply it to my damp hair, then brush and air dry. It acts like leave in conditioner, is cheaper and actually holds on to moisturize for healthy hair. I do it this way and it works

As a curly girl, leave-in is part of our hair care routine since we are born basically. I got so surprised that most people don't use them when I started watching hairdressers recommending them over and over.

I have fine hair, so i make 4-6 sections of my hair and apply my leave-in products to my hands and then gently finger comb it through my lengths rather than spraying.
I find spraying it, wastest too much and doesn't coat my hair evenly.
Once my hair is abit more dry, using a wide tooth comb, genlty comb through to ensure it really is spread through the strands and then style as usual.
Even whne i apply my last leave in product- to seal my ends and add a little more shine, i do 2-4 section's using only one pump or spray, and its sufficient for the ends

I always spray into my hands and rub together and then apply to hair.

Bonus: if your hair holds waves and curls you can use this time to finger curl the sections into curl clumps.

Great explanation! Would you happen to have any good drugstore recommendations for leave in conditioners? 🙏🏽 Would greatly appreciate it

That makes so much sense because when you’re spray, it doesn’t get all part of you’re hair but when you section it does🙂

What leave in conditioner do you use and do you put heat protection spray on top of that? I love your videos and your hair is amazing
