But when we grew up enjoying all those “special “ jello concoctions, some of us just thought they were special! They were served at church dinners, special events, and when family was coming to visit. I did not realize all my favorite salads were not loved by all ❤😂

My mother used to make a similar recipe, excluding the mayonnaise and marshmallows and including a cup and a half of thinly sliced celery. It was a staple at every celebration. Yech!

I was born in 70 but went to church with women who were raising their kids and entertaining in the 50s and 60s. I have had jello fixed everyway you have made it and more. Much of it still haunts me. Jello, tuna, and sliced almonds was the worst. At least the sweet once didn't have spam or sliced hotdogs.
