I've had the air 2 and mini 4 and I love my mini 4 more than anything. It's the perfect size for putting in a bag for school, great for gaming, and has the best feel in hand after a few hours. And the mini does a great job doing multitasking apps. It's smooth and has a great aspect ratio

It all depends on need. I really like the 9.7" iPad. However the best iPad for my purposes is the iPad Mini 4 128gb. It doesn't have the power of the other iPads, but it's so portable and easy to maneuver. I'm constantly blown away about the weight of the newest iPads. I had a First Generation iPad and it weighted a ton. The Mini 4 is lighter than my phone.

For me the perfect iPad would be the Mini with the Pro 9.7 speakers, and the 10" Pro's innards. Love the size of the mini, it's just so comfortable to hold and type in!

I use my 9.7 at home with duet on my MacBook too. Makes it a bit more useful at least.

I bought the new iPad 2017 without hesitation as it has a reasonable price and suits all my needs, i.e. media consumption and duet display. 32GB is enough for what I use the iPad for

Thanks for the added info. I was going to buy the mini4. But now I think I’ll wait till June 2018 for the facial recognition model (maybe) if they throw that option in the new one. i think the ipad pro 9.7 is the best! i even have one (in gold). but i do like the mini because of its size just too bad its not as powerful and capable as the pro. the day apple comes out with an ipad pro mini im trading in.
