I’m literally watching this video on my 10.5 in iPad Pro

The 10.5 is the most beautiful iPad ever made. A substantial step to Pro due to it’s 120 Hz, 4 core CPU, thin bezel’s, great camera with flashlight and good storage (up to 512 GB 👉🏻 more than iPad Airs and Minis…6 (!!!) years later! Love my device! The power of the A10X is amazing 👍🏻

It’s good content creators are also reviewing longevity and not only the latest. A lot of people prefer buying used or refurbished and this videos help with the decision

I remember watching your unboxing video as soon as it premiered

Time really flies, doesn’t it?

I got mine second hand for little over $300 on January 2020, and I never regretted it. What this thing has given me, especially during the pandemic when I was at college from home and had all those PDFs to study from and annotate, my goodness... Nothing else has been a better tech purchase for me. Sad to know its days are coming to an end cause the hardware is so good, I don't feel like I need to upgrade yet. I kept recommending it for students everywhere because of how affordable and reliable it was. Absolutely loved it

This ipad still rocks, i just went to the native apple smart cover for it, and feels like a new device. I previously had more bulky 3rd party cases.
I just did a photo shoot on Sunday, and the ability to upload all the photos onto my 256 gb 10.5 inch was great, i could review the shots while at dinner and work from there. Its truly an awesome device. I wish it had usb-c, but when im honest with myself thats really all im missing.

I’ve been using this ipad since 2018 and it’s just a great device IMO, still feels fast and smooth in use and has all the features I want like proper speakers, great screen with pro-motion, pencil and smart keyboard support (both of which I use all the time) - there’s literally nothing else I really need from the newer models. I think the real limitation on future ios support tends to be memory, and as this has 4GB - twice a lot of its contemporary devices - I think it’s shoe-in for ios 17 and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it got 18 as well. I remember buying this ipad to replace my four year old first gen iPad Air, which had become laggy and terrible to use at that point - five years later my 10.5” is still an absolute pleasure to pick up and use every day.

I love my 10.5” iPad Pro, it’s got the features I went most apart from 2nd gen pencil support. The screen is the particular standout and I still use the headphone Jack to use my iPad as an AirPlay broadcaster to connect non AirPlay devices to my HomePod mini.

My 10.5 iPad Pro is still in heavy use. I also own a 2020 12.9 iPad Pro, which I primarily use for work, but the 10.5 is my go to device when I’m on the go and traveling. I use it for both work and personal use. It has held up just fine and still serves me well.

I used mine up until early this year when I moved to the M2 12" Pro. I would've stuck with it longer, but I used it so heavily with multi-tasking stuff that it kept crashing (presumably from running out of RAM). Now it's doing just fine as my dad's magazine, Solitaire, and YouTube machine.

I picked up the 10.5" Pro at launch as a drawing tablet / laptop replacement. I still use it to this day. 512gb and LTE. I almost always have it with me and use it for remote work, drawing, media consumption. It's even been great for gaming! I paired a PS4 controller to it for remote play. I even had Retroarch side-loaded onto it for a while. Even if it becomes a consumption-only device, I won't be getting rid of this one anytime soon.

I have got to say that the biggest gripe I have with those newer iPad pros is difinitely the bigger bezels on all sides. The 10.5 feels like it looked better

I'm currently using a iPad 9 and I've really been wanting to get a 2017 pro for that 120hz display and thinner bezels. It's such a pain going from my 13 pro with 120hz to 60hz and it hurts my eyes. But the only thing holding me back is limited software support.

My brother-in-law bought the same iPad in 2017 or 2018. He bought the cellular version and mainly used it as hotspot before he upgraded to Starlink in March of 2021. He had unlimited hotspot data on it until he changed their cellular plan to include 5G when he bought his iPhone 12. I don’t see him use the iPad anymore after buying the 2020 M1 13.3 inch MacBook Pro In March of 2021.

That iPad (256GB) was my daily driver up until two months ago, when I replaced it with a refurbished M1 12.9” iPad Pro (also 256GB). It was (is!) an incredible device!

I’m honestly amazed and perplexed how future proofed the 10.5in ipad pros were I honestly didn’t even know they had pro motion until recently, I thought that came on the 2018 iPad Pro redesign. The idea alone that this iPad also had a special type of lighting that is much faster that isn’t even on the iPhone is perplexing. I guess this iPad really was a pro device I can definitely see this being super enticing over an intel MacBook back in the day, even if it ment dealing with the lack of things like a proper file management system or a terminal.

Watching on my 2011 iMac i5 while cleaning my 10.5" iPad Pro. I might be outdated, but I love these older devices. They just have a charm the newer versions lack in their oversimplified and uninspired designs. I also suspect my iPad has terrible battery health because I have to charge it every single day, Safari fully drains it in 4 hours and it's massively laggy.

I have this iPad since launched and I have to say, it's the best, he was my companion during lockdown, my tool at college and the device I used for pretty much everything, at the point that my pc became a dust collecting machine. Now my 10.5 inch iPad Pro is having battery issues and I'm heading for the renewed 11 inch iPad Pro with the A12Z chip.

But yeah, the 10.5 was and still is a great choice

I’m watching this on my iPad Air 3rd gen (2019) which I bought last year in 2022 for a little less than £300. A definitely underrated iPad imo. It still does 90% of what I see newer iPads are capable of. And to browse the web, stream media and use productivity apps it’s still a great machine, specially with the over criticised apple pencil 1 😅

I’ve used the 10.5” iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil throughout all of my university years and it helped me a lot. The downside is that I’ve used it so much that the battery deteriorated tremendously, I took it to an Apple Store and for some reason their equipment was not registering that the battery was below 80% (even though it definitely was, I’ve checked with coconut battery, but they were seeing it was at 88%). The battery got so bad I had to replace it with a used M1 iPad Pro at the end of last year. It also had white spots on the display, which apparently is a common issue with this iPad.
