In a realistic stand point it would be hard to pull off unless he actually stops so it would ruin momentum

theres a rare animation that happens when you web zip between two structures that are close in proximity. do a slingshot web zip instead of a regular web zip.

I was expecting this guy to talk about vertical slingshots.

In tasm 2 game it is possible to do slingshot while swinging

Thing is, you gotta be on the ground to stretch the slingshot. The only way I could see it work is if you were swinging between two buildings and the momentum would stretch the slingshot in order to propel you in the opposite direction, basically meaning the faster you go before using the sling shot move, the further it gets pulled once you do it, and the further and faster it shoots you the other way, kinda like what Miles did after Sandman threw him in the intro.

It would ideally also take verticality into account so if you were diving down with a forward momentum, the slingshot would then send you the other direction and upward. Or if you were just straightup falling down, using it could get you right back in the air, provided you fell at high enough velocity.

It doesn't make sense you would be floating but it does if you don't charge it

you can already sling shot and defy gravity with the web zip since the first game.

As other people have said, makings the slingshot a way to quickly turn seems like a nice idea. But to add onto it I'd like to make it a general momentum reversal. Beginning able to quickly launch yourself upward after falling or quickly Launching yourself downwards after swinging after reaching too high would also add a lot of flare to webswinging and depending on how you'd want to implement it you could potentially use it as a way to recover from being smacked away buy and attack and use that momentum too redirect that force back at them.

I say it could be a way to reverse your direction fast. Like what happened to miles in the sandman fight, he was thrown and he did a slingshot in the air.

As you’re going forward it makes no sense physics wise. But it would work to reverse out direction, a reverse slingshot.

I can’t remember if it’s Peter or Miles but one of them pulls this reverse slingshot move in the intro battle against Sandman during a cutscene.

I think it could probably look cool as a vertical reverse sling shot too, lol.

Wait, what if the spider men grabed both buildings to switch the momentum backwards so you swing back to the right direction thatd be awesome

To the people saying its unrealistic, Miles literally does that after being thrown by Sandman.

Also as long as it's grounded in the terms of the game, realism be damned. The webs don't even touch anything if you sling shot from too high, web zips work on water etc. Its not realistic but its fun af.

I know most people say its a bad idea but i do see it working, i get it might ruin the momentum and stuff, but remeber at the beginning of the game when miles was thrown but then caught himself with his webs and made a slingshot (in the air) when he was thrown by Sandman?

You’d probably going entirely too fast.

The slinghsot Really helped me with one of the emf missions when i had to deploy drones for smth

1. you technically can
2. it’s not physically possible

Make webline from building to building and you can do it from up there.

like that time in spider man 3 sam raimi movie, he did 360 slinging while swinging, it was one of the coolest scene in the movie
