Weather she is guilty or not, the law requires that she be proved guilty "beyond all reasonable doubt". It is quite clear now that there is reasonable doubt.

It's this lawyer I needed to hear, not the newcasters who basically keep saying, 'but she was found guilty'.

As a senior nurse I was really concerned with the verdict. The press as usual has her hung drawn & 1/4 before the trial even happened, without looking at any of the evidence. It’s as if Piers Morgan was still in the country. There is so much wrong with this case. Someone needs to do the job the police should have done in the first place. Because to date it’s pathetic.

How irritating to have the hosts x 2 talking over an interesting speaker and clearly not listening to what he is saying, just the same old tired commentary, particularly when its x 2. This case was clearly an embarrassing travesty of justice.

I find it heart-warming to know that Mark McDonald is now representing Lucy Letby. Justice may finally be served. Lucy Letby may finally may be freed.

And, yes my heart does go out to the babies parents. Supporting Lucy Letby doesn't affect anyone's sympathy towards the parents. The suggestion that it does is offensive.

My wife is a Doctor and she believes that Lucy Letby is the fallguy for the NHS Management and Doctors. The Nurses are usually the fallguys in such legal actions!

How can it be "misinformation" to question evidence in a trial? Also, what's the point in having a legal expert on the radio if you're going to talk down to him, without any expertise?

If they witheld evidence from the defence it needs to go back to court

My take is not whether she is guilty or not, rather is the evidence sound enough to lock someone away for life without the possibility to have the case re-examined.

So glad we have 2 presenters who know the law better than a top criminal lawyer. There are more yhan Mr Mcdonald saying there are problems with the case.

The cops failed to include all the other babies that died in the time period, indeed failed to mention the number of babies who died after Letby left the ward.

The lady is not asking proper questions. She's talking is vague, untethered generalities and the chap asking equally pathetic questions can't concentrate to the end of a relatively brief answer.

This woman newscaster needs a victim to punish. Look what they did with the poor postal account workers. That went on for years.

The jury can make a verdict but it doesn’t mean it is the right one!
They are not trained to comprehend such medical matters and in my experience of being on a jury people project their own prejudices and even experiences onto the case. The poor girls fate was in their hands.
I hope she gets justice.

I believe when babies come in to it people make their mind up very quick. And someone has to be blamed.

Note how the Radio Times woman practically accuses him of spreading 'dangerous disinformation' - now an arrestable offence - when he attempts to explain (in spite of repeated interruptions and objections from both Radio Times presenters) why he considers this verdict to be an unsafe conviction.

Good luck with this Mark, been doubtful about this case from day one

From the start I have felt concerned about the safety of the conviction. Needs to be challenged.

The interruptions are infuriating. Let the man make his case.

My sister, a Level 7 (the highest ranking) midwife with over 36 years of nursing and midwifery experience summed this trial up for me: In this very unique case, a [medically illiterate] Jury had not only been asked by the [medically illiterate] CPS on behalf of the [medically illiterate] investigating Police, over seen by a [medically illiterate] Judge and contested by [medically illiterate] Barristers to decide if Letby committed a [medically complex] crime - they were asked to determine if actual [medically complex] crimes even occurred.

These presenters need to get their facts right before making false statements. The good lawyer put them right throughout this interview and the reporters faces at the end showed their anger at being embarrassed. Laughable MSM.
