Welcome to the world of IR.

This video is a mix and match of different things I thought might be cool. I apologize if it isn't super well organized.

Time to make a channel called NileInfraRed.

Nice video NileRed! I'm an electrical engineer and what you said about thermal imaging being useful for electronics design is very true. One aspect you didn't mention is its ability to find short circuits (like solder problems) very quickly. Thermal cameras can easily see even a 0.1 deg C temperature difference. Traces on a circuit board will rise by more than that when even an amp or two are flowing through them. So, you can find a short circuit by powering up the board with a low current limited power supply and looking at it with the thermal camera.

Bacterial fermentation in the bag? Or the former owner of the IR cam is dead now? :P

You can also use IR camera to see, what was the PIN number of the previous customer.

I really love that you explain everything as you mix and react stuff together. Sometimes I don't understand but I really appreciate

Very interesting thermal video! Nile red beakers & lab coats sound awesome! There's prob a website where you can design your own sticker emblem and order a bunch of them!

Great video, love the thermal camera.
I think a great demo would be some small scale "runaway reaction" (also called thermal runaway to an engineer) and film it with the thermal camera. Showing the difference in exotherms from microscale to small scale in an exothermic reaction/polymerization (a Grignard is the textbook example of this) . You can explain how exotherms can potentially cause a feedback loop to self propagate and cause "runaway" (maybe a little mention of Trommsdorff Norrish (TDN) if you're feeling crazy)... idk if this will be over people's head but I found this kinda stuff fascinating in graduate school and a thermal camera seems like the perfect way to demonstrate it.

Again, great videos keep up the good work!

Where's my prize?

I've always wanted a FLIR rifle scope. Unfortunately, I don't have six thousand dollars to spend on one.

Another great video as always keep up the good work NileRed ☺️👍🏻

Since you mentioned electronics and IR, IR cameras can also detect where short circuit is happening(because of the heat generated by the high current)
Btw, sheldon might use this for detecting if someone sit on his spot lol

Whoa, this is so cool, that thing inside looks like a cooking pot or something XD

I got a real surprise once when I accidentally opened the FLIR app on my CAT phone while sitting on the toilet in a brushed stainless bathroom stall. Suddenly I was looking at a reflection of myself having a squat (in rainbow colors, with the naughty bits glowing), despite totally diffuse optical reflection! I of course shared this with my social media to see how many unfollows I could induce.

I was about to joke about the 'thermal face reveal', but then there actually was a face reveal!
So in the trashbag: A plastic container with hot water in it. There is a utensil (spoon?) in the container.

I would most certainly buy nile red beakers as long as they are of a high quality

I want one of those things but can't justify it for curiosity alone lol

Very interesting. It would be nice to see if the glass put over a solar water heater is transmissive to IR or not. Maybe you want to keep the heat in letting only the visible in.

Awesome video. Love it.👍👍👌👌🤘🤘. I have always wanted a lab coat. I really want it but my dad won't let me buy it. I have subscribed and liked the video. Love this channel.
