I am aware that some of you are going to have your little feelings hurt, but that's your problem, not mine.

M12 is one of the best power tool lines out there period.

It’s crazy how much smaller the 18v power tools have become, while still maintaining the power.
The only downside is that some of the 18v tools heat up pretty quickly.
I like the slightly larger 18v tools because the bigger bodies and bigger fans allow for better heat dispersion.

I still prefer the m12 battery inside the handle design for automotive. Particularly the ratchets.

12 volt tools still have a place just like 3.6 volt screwdrivers do .
Who the hell is lugging an 18volt high torque driver around to fasten door hinges to wardrobes or take bikes apart nobody they are using lower voltage drivers with higher mah like 12v .

I like Milwaukee 12v tools bc of the handle style. It’s literally just a handle. not a handle with a fucking 3 pound hammer underneath it

M12 impact driver does about 80% of what I need and fits in my work belt pouch. Less weight to carry around on my hip for hours at a time.

Batteries are far too large on the 18v+ platforms still, working as an auto tech the battery on the larger guns is so annoying and causes way more fatigue than necessary

The new Milwaukee 2563 is an absolute beast for a 12v

I wonder how the next tool generations will be in 5-10 years

As an auto tech, my m12 lasts longer than my M18 tools. Those m18 just wear the tool faster.

M12 tools are awesome. As an RV Tech i use them to test 12 volt components like awning, water pumps, lights, etc.. and plenty of power to do what i need

Literally went from some m12 stuff to dewalt powerstacks and atomics, more power and doesn’t need charging every few days

Bro every tool has its purpose. Ya you can go big or go home but I’m not using a 1/2 drive 1400 pound impact to work on a car interior

I do agree with your point however m12 with a 2.5 or smaller battery has a much smaller footprint and can reach into tighter spots. It's also less expensive and you get high quality with the m12 fuel tools. That's why i run m12 fuel tools all day but for the times when shit gets tough i bust out the m18

I have a ridged impact and I have had zero issues with it. I’m looking to upgrade mostly because I carry a a tool backpack and space is valuable. The M12 Milwaukee is smaller but is worth the price ? 😊

Yeah, yeah… I know it’s true but I still want a 12v stacked lithium battery.

About 10yrs agoI had the Snap-On 14.4v micro lithium series tools. The 3/8 drive impact wrench the 2way trigger was tiny but the thing was a beast. Would undo just about anything on a car from wheels to suspension components.

M12 is amazing. I just used my old m12 impact on loctited driveshaft bolts in a full size truck, no issue. Regularly use it for wheels and anything else. And it fits just about anywhere. Just know if you see me with my big 1/2in high torque out don’t talk to me I’m already pissed 🤣

I’ve got a 12v Dewalt combi, impact driver and bit set in the house which I use for small in house DIY to save me going out to garage to get my bigger 18/20v tools out. As a bonus they use the same batteries as my dewalt laser level, and can use the same chargers as my big tools. Pretty sure they are entry level brushed motor tools, but every time I use them I’m impressed how good they are for what they are and the price (£75 on sale here in the UK). They’ve also lasted like 7 years of very regular use, certainly not the best tools I own but for quick small jobs around the house I can’t fault them.
