If you do this as a profession gas is the way to go.

100% gas! That’s a really small area. Try doing this on 130 properties over a month span. Batteries would get cooked and do not run nearly as long as the gas.

And I'm still going to stick to my gas trimmers

Battery power is for the suburban homeowners who have maybe 20 minutes worth of weedeating to do. Those of us with decent sized yards or professionals need gas. Each tool has a designed purpose.

i was stubborn to switch to electric. once I did man theres no going back. No oil, no gasoline, no mess. Just charge and you're set to go.

I’ve switched to electric with the trimmer but I stay gas with the mower.

Two main reasons why I went battery/electric and I'll do it again:
1. Less maintenance.
2. Quieter.

I always thought if your weedeating your yard every week and never letting it get overgrown the electric is better but if you let it get super tall gas is better

I've owned an EGO for ten years. I maintain two large properties. One has lots of flower beds, trees and fence line to trim. It's extremely powerful, never fails to start, needs no maintenance and the trimmer line is self-winding. I will never ever ever buy gas lawn equipment again.

I love my battery landscape equipment because I can store them inside my house without fumes and next to the battery station.

I'm a gas guy. I bought the flagship ego weed eater with the 56v battery. That dude is badass tbh. I have a lot to weed eat here and I can get it all done on low at half trigger and it takes half the battery. I was impressed by it's life and power. The auotfeeder head is nice as well. Always stays the right length. I'm satisfied with my battery EGO weed eater. I have hoards of Milwaukee tools... Glad I didn't go with theirs tbh. Going to keep the yard in the EGO ecosystem. I don't stay on top of yard work so when I do it it's thick... This weed eater got the job done after putting it off for 3 weeks bc it wanted to rain on all my off days. Get your hands on one one day. You'll be impressed.

I guess it all depends on the good ol operator.

I live on about a half acre. Had a electric Wacker that was like $150 at the time with 2 batteries. I couldn't even get my front lawn's edges before both batteries died. A good electric weed Wacker is at least 250.

I personally can't stand the noise and fumes that come from gas equipment. I have an electric mower, string trimmer, and hedge trimmer. On yard work day, if the battery runs low on one, I plug it in to charge and switch to another task until it's charged. It breaks up the monotony, too.

As the battery gets older and used performance will go down. Gas will continue to perform the same

I love my ego trimmer. Light weight. And a 5AH gets my property (over 3 acres) trimmed. No priming, no maintenance besides re-stringing it up. No more pulling a string 10 times.

Ideally you’d want both if you own more than an acre. I use the gas stuff in ditch lines, around trees, around the shop pads etc. It also gets stored in a shop 50 yards away from the house.

The battery stuff is nice to keep to do around the house, kids play area, edging sidewalks, flower beds etc. They get stored in the house.

Electric all day all you need is a 2nd battery and your good 👍 no need to check the engine after X amount of hours or re oil or re gas up, such a time saver and prevents karens from showing up on a nice hot day it keeps them inside 😂

They both did a good job but it my opinion petrol one did better
