I just love every character they cast. They are all so perfect. Each one of them did a brilliant job of portraying Fantine, Valjean, Myriel, Javert, Enjolras, Eponine, Gavroche, Marius, little Cosette, young Cosette, the Thenardiers are a few of my favorites. Much respect to the cast and movie-makers, and to Victor Hugo for writing such a great book.

just watching the trailer I get all teary eyed. One of those films where you can just tell the entire cast and crew had so much chemistry, ambition, and passion. Bravo!

I don't know what people think but for me Eponine had more liveliness, compassion and affection than Cosette.

I really love this musical and I'm glad they made a movie with elements from the classic book. If it hadn't been for the movie, the musical would never have come back to broadway. I'm happy it's back on broadway again because of this movie.

One of the best movies I have ever seen. I had chills from Russell Crowe's singing. Isabelle Allen's, (young cosette) Hugh Jackman, and Anne Hathaway's performances was amazing. I know I wasn't the only person in the cinema who shed a tear at the end :')

This movie is one of the greatest I've ever seen. I'm very appreciative to have finally been able to appreciate Hugo's masterpiece. The themes and emotion are outstanding and powerful. I'm sure I would love Les Miserables regardless of how or where it was portrayed--Hugo's contribution to the world is just that perfect. I can't imagine how anyone would walk out on it.

i noticed this too.i remember one part where she chose just the perfect volume and nuance to express how painful it was that marius would never love her.i was so glad she was chosen to play eponine and she deserves an academy award nomination for best supporting actress.

To all the people who hate musicals, why the hell are you here? To complain about how you hate musical or something? Well, newsflash nobody actually cares. I personally love musicals, and if you don't, I'm not judging, we are all different but it aggrivates me when people are commenting on the trailer of a movie (that I love very much) and just complaining. Like really? Do you not have anything better to do? Can't you go and comment good stuff on a trailer of a film you actually like? Alright, i'm finished now.

Okay every one SHUT UP! This movie is awesome and I know it's just my opinion and not everyone likes it but I'm 11 and I'm the biggest les miserables fan! Like I said it wasn't for nothing it is a amazing classic it's not one of those happy stories where every thing is fine and no one learns anything it tells people that live doesn't always turn out the way u want it to or u can always get what u want and it is the best musical in the world along the phantom of the opera! So go and hate another movie and waste your time some where else! P.S this isn't really going to anyone in general I just felt the need to tell everyone that this movie and book is AWESOME

We read the play in our Arts & Culture class in High School and It made such a big impression I have never forgotten it, a truely beautiful and heart wrenching story I am so glad they have finally made the musical for the Big Screen .Can't wait to watch it.

For me, this film gets better every time I see it. In time, I predict it will be listed as one of the greatest movie musicals ever made. And remember, "To love another person is to see the face of God."

Anne Hathaway won the BAFTA for supporting actress in her role as Fantine, as it should be.I hadn't really followed her career & wasn't aware she could sing.But, boy, having seen her in Les Mis' she proved just how talented she is.No-one else who's played Fantine has given such a raw depth of emotion which Hathaway did. She thoroughly deserved the BAFTA.

have you noticed that pretty much every.single.trailer has that dramatic pause like @1:58 before the last big thing? anyhow, this looks great, can't wait to see it!

Why do so many people like musicals? I couldn't even get through Sweeney Todd. It looks so good but the singing:(

now this is my opinion: they've spend a lot of money for nothing! it's pretty just for eyes, to see costumes and scenes and all that and that's a plus, but again they overdosed it and made it to look so clean and unreal at that point, so it turns to a minus again. and the musical thing?O.o just why! it's so annoying! and omg half of those actors doesn't look even close as hugo described them in the novel, which involves some of the main characters like marius for example, and that's the first and basic step of "must have" when turning a book into movie, actors! it almost looks like a cartoon to me! french version from 2000 is the best so far. they've made the essence clear in all ways. and they had great actors for it to make it happen.
