Great video Paul. Not on T212, but this whole issue is weighing on me in the wake of FTX. I know this is different, but the cynic in me doesn't trust anyone

I gave the thumbs up for the video even though the title is clickbait, it raises the suspicion that something wrong is going on with the t212, so someone who hasn't watched the video can get the wrong impression.

Well done for continuing to cover 212. It's reassuring to know they are still growing. I used their CFD system for a while and I made money, but I had to lose a large portion of my gains due to how CFD apps leverage the spread to their favour, and I think thats the reason so many lose money. I don't use it anymore as the market has become too unpredictable and its safer to make money over longer term trading.

I hope T212 go from strength to strength, I truly don’t understand how people can’t be into stocks & investments (via T212 & the like) keeps my brain occupied and makes me think of every pound I’m about spend in day to day life (specifically £2.50 that could be for L&G shares).

I’ve spoken to t212 about in-specie transfer and they have said that they will try to get share transfer as soon as possible as they understand that it builds confidence

I have a question about the platform.
Does it offer free shares for new customers, in which case do we have to declare it as profit and consequently gain and pay capital gains? Or, as it is a gift/donation, it does not suffer the tax and we just declare it as more or less value when we sell?

I really like the T212 and supposedly they have my stocks ata IB. However, I was really thinking if I should move it to IB directly.

I hope so. I'm still hoping for robinhood to try to return back to the UK. I seen they're discussing returning now after their recent UK company acquisition. The more competition the better. I'm happy with 212 but... happy to switch if there is better

I’m assuming any client funds are covered by the FSCS, so no need to worry unless you have in excess of £85k invested

Being on freetrade noticed on their community forum there has been media reports of a possible sale. A lot of the start up platforms with low fees will suffer during any downturn /recession. May be a few mergers etc hopefully not worst case of close all together.

Hey mate love the channel! I’ve just got into stocks. I Bought some shares with trading 212. But I just wondered how I get my shares back if trading 212 does go bust? I know interactive brokers holds the shares but just wondered what the process is. Any constructive feed back would be appreciated 😁
