Numerical Modeling: View/Edit Grid

This video discusses grid operations in the numerical modeling workflow within Visual MODFLOW Flex.

After creating your grid, the next workflow step is the ‘View/Edit Grid’ step. At this stage you can perform grid operations to refine your model rows, columns and layers in areas of interest. Better cell-size resolution should result in more accurate simulation results. The ‘View/Edit Grid’ workflow step is also where you will define inactive cells in your model. These cells will be ignored by the model and are not used in any flow, particle tracking or contaminant transport calculations, which can significantly reduce model run times.
