Today, 7/7, with the AMD launches, watching your videos amongst my other favs, is like sunday football to me. I hate sports. I love tech. Today has been a good day.

You are the only one that have mentioned anything about steaming with OBS on these cards, something I have been really interested in since Nvidia came out with their "new" Nvenc encoder.

I had a Sapphire 5700XT and am now happily gaming on an MSI 2070 SUPER VENTUS OS, why? Because although the 5700XT may well be able to push out 140+ FPS in certain games, it certainly, in my case, was unable to do so consistently, with random black screens, FPS drops, crashes etc which basically made playing any game impossible for any decent length of time. This along with tornado like acoustics to keep the temps down to anywhere near an acceptable level. Seeing that this has been happening now to many people for 6mths and still nothing from AMD GPU dept to fix, they'd rather revamp the Radeon software's UI, I of course sent the card back and changed for the 2070 Super, which I have had 0 issues with, not one!! How anyone can recommend this card is surely down to lack of research.

Making video not knowing about Super, and price drop, and video still is useful, is great video.

"Please Wendell make a script and follow it while you are explaining (the super important stuff you do) and make it bit simpler with photos so everyone can understand(not so savvy ones anyway).Like this it really comes as rambling and not everyone will stay till the end of it..Just a small advice coz i think this channel is great and can be even greater! <3

6-8ms is pretty good for ant-lag. people pay more to get monitors that are 1ms over 5ms

The 5700 at $300 (bundle with a 3600 at microcenter or potential price drop if more competition happens) is looking like a really solid deal for good quality 1440p gaming at 60fps and stays comfortably cool even with a blower at a lackadaisical speed. The only reason I bought the XT was the $50 off at Microcenter amd that the non-XT didn't seem to be able to make up the difference between it and the XT with overclocking in most reviews. The XT does get hot but it draws so much less power than Vega 64 and outpaces it every step of the way that I don't really care.

Did you try running these at x8 PCIe 4.0? They should run the same speed as x16 PCIe 3, while freeing up PCI lanes for other uses.

Is anyone else having instability with these cards at idle? Just sitting on the desktop my card just randomly crashes my entire rig and im not sure why, without the drivers installed it doesn't crash which is very weird. Running a r5 3600 on an ab350m itx asrock board with latest bios. Thermals are acceptable even with the stock coolers sucking and all that. Also running a 600 watt gold corsair sfx psu. All this with 0 overclocking results in crashing only while idling and only after maybe half an hour of running games.

As I'm on Kubuntu LTS I hope Navi works well especially by next month when the custom design coolers are expected to get released.
Also please keep us updated on the whole situation around AMD and Linux, Wendell.
I'd really like to go full AMD this time around and potentially change my entire desktop setup to make it work with things such as gpu-passthrough and KVM.
