My sixteen y/o son came in the house after a walk the other day. I suspected he was smoking, but didn't know. I asked him "were you smoking?" He asked "why would you ask that?" I told him because cigarette smoke sticks to your hands and you can smell it." He immediately sniffed his hands. Caught!

Aha! She lied; after saying, "I'm not selling the book" she made a convincing statement: "I'm just telling you it's out there if you want it." After which, she laughed.

Guilty people are usually quick to persecute someone else for the deed.

A study proved that detectives who believed they were really good at "detecting" lies could actually detect a lie 50% of the time. In other words, they might as well have flipped a coin.

Never thought I was going to see an ex-CIA employee saying something genuinely true (like just because someone has his/hers arms crossed it doesn't mean they are lying).

All these techniques out government has and yet whenever there is a senate hearing i do not recall. Or nothing happy seems to be the best way to handle it.

Our gut tells us that they are not being truthful. Some people have an instinct for liars especially known liars.

Most people who are experts at deception, like car salesman, will try to keep you distracted and disoriented to pull you away from the fact they're lying.

The volume is too low, it's difficult to hear what is being said.
