This one needs a do-over... no explanation of gliss, he barely played anything... the trombone is much cooler than this guy made out.

the trombone can be played left handed. my teacher refused to allow me to do so. 60 years later I am still upset

Bit of a random. My fiancé, knowing I miss playing brass, got up a random YouTube video. I saw Byrons name and all I could see was a little boy playing trombone in CYBB way back in the early 80s. Blast from the past and great memories remembered. Thank you for this video ☺

You would enjoy Mahler's 3rd symphony as a trombone player... lets listen to the 6th right after he says that lol

I think I was just reminded of the trombone by *Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2* episode "Plan 99"'s theme music... It was so sad bittersweet and hearttouching... 😢💔 6:30pm 19.3.2024

I'm here from Dr Pokorny's lecture at CFCC. We were just talking about trombone glissando's after class yesterday. .

2:48: Mahler's third symphony? I have looked through some YouTube videos on Mahler's third symphony and I can't find ANY composition with this specific trombone section. WHAT IS THE SPECIFIC COMPOSITION THAT CONTAINS THIS SECTION?

I think it was this guy I watched talking about his euphonium, now his trombone. What I gathered from both videos is that his instruments are both in very shabby looking condition.

He looks like Dan Aykroyd who played Ray Stanz in the Ghostbusters 1984

Does anyone happen to know why it is that several major trombone solos (Rimsky-Korsakov's Russian Easter Festival Overture and Scheherazade, Liszt-Doppler Hungarian Rhapsody #2 for example) are indicated in the 2nd Trombone Part rather than the Principal? By that point, alto trombones were no longer in general use, right?

The most famous piece is the Imperial March.

It would have been helpful to hear him play it?

He was playing a Tenor Trombone, but still, pretty cool!

I was hoping he would play one of the solos from Mahler's Symphony No. 3...
