I ate this for years while I was dieting, along with huge bowls of miso soup. I was not healthy by any stretch of imagination but it definitely worked. I will say this stuff can be dangerous due to it being made up of indigestible starch, and if you consume it in large amounts, you can end up with indigestion or painful blockages. lesson learned: it's a helpful tool but only when used in moderation

I ate shirataki noodles for couple of weeks when i was saving money when i’m studying in japan. Shirataki noodles is about 50 cals about 38yen each, and packaged pasta sauce is 100yen for 2 packs with each pack only less than 100 calorie, and then just put some carrots (it was 25yen) which not much calorie and i split one stick to 3-4meals. I shed so much weight but surprisingly i still have energy through out the day 😂 not recommended, but if i had to do a diet again in my life i might do this one again

you can incorporate protein and other stuff to this noodle if you want!

noodles are versatile, just add like any meat or chicken if you wanted, then some spring onions or a small salad on the side (i honestly dont know the name of it, but its like shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, pepper and a sweet, savory dressing? but it could be whatever salad you want, just in a small portion)

i like those with watered down peanut butter (specifically a kind of unsweetened peanut butter you can find at chinese groceries, not pbandj peanut butter) with a bit of soy sauce and garlic

Love the adorkable honesty 😅 ..been there. I find I have to change the water during boiling a few times to get the smell out, then rinse. Is it a brand thing? Sometimes I'll fry for a little ..crunch 😉

Got these a few weeks ago because I’m cutting and putting these with a protein like salmon or pork with some low calorie toppings like veggies is a great meal idea

2 servings shiritaki noodles = 10 cals
2 and 1 3rd of garlic cloves grated = 9 cals i think
1 tbsp soy sauce with pepper infusion (or add chilli oil if lazy and want spice) = 3 cals
1 tsp black viniger = 2 cals
1 tsp honey = 21 cals
1/4 tsp sesami oil = 30 cals (can lessen)
1 tbsp of made sauce = 33 calories (due to using all ingredients for sauce but 33 calories because 1.5 tbsp)
