To clear up any confusion, basically back then they would usually write with pens. So while being right handed your hand touches where your about to write with your pen rather than left which is where your left hand is where you JUST WROTE and in case you didn’t notice pen does smear so his left hand would smear his writing making it impossible to read because it is smudged 🤗 also Da Vinci wrote backwards to keep his notes in secret so people couldn’t read them to possibly take his ideas

I just read about that yesterday. That Da Vinci was left-handed and it said, in fact he even used to write backward to make it easier.

Da Vinci was in fact writing backwards (from right to left) because he was left handed and that way was easier for him, that was normal and a lot of left handed people did this back then.
