It might be a legend though. How could he have at the time timed his naps for exactly 20 min without someone waking him up. (Ok he was a genius so maybe he mightve found a way) but I doubt he could have carried on with this routine for weeks and months. If there is a historical proof of his polyphasic sleep then I'd be glad to see it.

I one day without even realizing i was capable of, and never having done it before started to mirror write in my diary. I decided to try it in cursive and realized i could mirror write in cursive just as quickly as i could forward without even stopping. I wrote a paragraph. The creepy thing and the part some my think is cap, i held it in front of a mirror and it was correct including the directions of each letter but when i went to bed, i had a dream i was standing in my bathroom holding up the writing in front of the mirror and a like dark entity said "do not mirror write anymore" the lifted me off the ground and flipped me upside down. The weeks after that weird things began to happen. I would hear these relentless whispers. Some would say my name and others would be a man whispering really fast like he was in a manic episode. I would hear breathing. I thought i was going insane and was having a schizophrenic melt down. I didn't tell anyone i was hearing the whispers because i was embarrassed. One day my friend and i were in the kitchen and i heard "Ari" i didn't say anything and ignored it like usual. My friend said "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?! WHO JUST SAID YOUR NAME?" I almost started to cry. I said you heard that whisper? And he said yes clearly it said your name. Im not usually religious but i called a church to have them pray over my house over the phone and the whispers completely stopped. Moral of the story be careful with mirror writing. Mirrors are used in spells sometimes and studies have shown that people who look in them for over ten minutes straight in low light will begin to see themselves as someone else or a beast. Im not saying this will happen to everyone but i had no ill intent and didn't write anything bad and seemingly opened something up but showing the mirror the backward writing. Just fyi!😊🥴

DaVinci is more like the most overrated human in history. Not that he's not one of the great, he definitely was. But I can think of several polymaths who deserve as much or more recognition. Like Leibniz or many Indian and Islamic mathematicians.

His hype has more to do with what some influential people wanted to be popular than anything.
