I was doing them wrong lol. I would write topics first and then write notes. I didn't know they were simplifications of the main notes. Thank you for the clarification heh.

I keep watching these videos hoping this method will finally make sense to me and click, but it never does. Maybe this works better if implemented from a younger age. I'll try it again with the tips here. I think before, I was starting with the "most important" section instead of the "main notes" which was basically the old way of writing definitions. I do see how starting in the main notes side would make this more useful.

I've been forced to take these notes for the past 4 years (6-9 grade) and I'm sorry, but they've never helped me in any case. Since using them, I've had straight C's and D's in school. I try to tell my teachers that these notes don't benefit me, but they don't believe it. How do I prove to them that these notes aren't good for me. (Yes, I've gone to all AVID schools)
