Taking notes sometimes is really hard. The teacher goes so fast I don’t even have time to scribble down those notes.

As soon as i saw the lines the coldest of shivers ran down my spine. If it works for you nothing against it but being forced to in high school when you already don’t like taking notes was enough for me.

I have to take Cornell Notes at my middle school.
The teachers do binder checks to make sure everything is in order-
And if we get caught not using Cornell Notes, we get written up and we fail the classes we didn’t do the notes in for the day :, >

My school used this style of notes for at least 7 years and I can’t tell you how much I hated doing these Cornell Notes. I ain’t got a reason, just hated being forced to use them lol

This was what I did back in my U.S History class back in high school! I did very well in my exams by just studying the textbook instead. His lecture was like a college-leveling setting.

For history specifically (doesn't work for all subjects), I used to kind of make a flow of events and tell things like a story. I would have mini sections with funny titles and then short bits of information (main ideas, dates, names, etc.) and I'd connect them all with arrows to make the series of events cohesive. Worked very well and kept things memorable.
