I like that Roland have recognised how convenient cloud services are, but $19.99 (approx £18) a month? You can pick up a second-hand D50 for around £400 and that's yours to keep. And it's the original hardware.

Nice, my God it brings home that almost every song track in the 80's has the D50 all over them lol.
Still sounds good today too.
Still very usable, in fact I'd sooner have a D50 over a Korg Triton.

Beautiful sounds. Rich and full, loved the Fantasia patch and organ at the end. 19 bucks is a little step for me atm. For 10 bucks I'll be in.

I hate this cloud subsription things.I want to own somnething and use it whatever I like, and not to loose it.And 350+$ paying for this is huge money.I would rather buy real D-50 and real piano in a few years that paying for something that I`ll never own.

Speaking of emulations, Tubeohm's Vintage is similar to a D-50 but doesn't use any samples from it. 32-bit only though.

Bells sounds strange on high notes. Something like aliasing happens! Or I can be wrong... don't know. Usually it's a common thing for old-code based virtual oscillators.

Thanks for the nice demo. It sounds good (better than the D50 soundfonts that have been traded on the web for years), but not good enough to get into a long-term $20/month relationship.

yeah I subscribed to this. I have a very fast pc and every single plugin sends my cpu up 30 to 40 percent. I think it has something to do with the audio running at such a high rate. Concerto doesnt host everything. pro mars, the juno and jupiter are different. same with system 1 and system 8. I'm pretty sure this is the issue because even after I bounce the audio its the same.

Roland is a has been company. They know it. That is why they don't just release a D50 VST. Instead they want to stick a straw in your wallet. Once the marketing/business guys take over a company....it is all downhill.
