This op is absolutely outstanding. The first part showing Anya's perspective and it is drawn through a childs eyes, the music following along with it. Then as Twilight turns off the lights, the song picks up and shows the clarity of truth and shows clear and concise animation through an adults eyes and the eye's of the Yor and Twilight. This is awesome man. The connections are great and I can't stop watching it.

I love this OP start with sketch animation portraying Anya perspective before transition into clean/more detail animation to reveal true identity of the parents.

Love this opening more than the second. While the second has stunning visual quality, nothing beats the stylized designs of this one and the contrast of innocence and reality. Not to mention this song is a banger. Got that bit of "swing" to it.

I love how this OP paints a constant paradox in Twilight’s character. He genuinely enjoys being a father to Anya and a husband to Yor, but he's not supposed to at all. His mission requires him not to get attached but how do you feign having a real bond with a woman like Yor and a daughter like Anya? When Twilight is introduced he's given the typical stoic spy vibe and we learn that he's built this way because of his tolerance to not show emotion he has created since he was a kid, but if you look at this opening, he genuinely looks like he's having a good time in the eyes of Anya. Sure, you may say that it's because he's supposed to not act suspicious, that's his job as a spy. And you would be right! But also, Anya already knows everything about Twilight's thoughts, and she knows there's still a soft spot inside of him even if “papa is a big liar.”

At 1:11 he seems to be reflecting on his mission and who he originally was before meeting Anya, keeping his poker face. But then he sees Yor in the next shot and it melts, with him, Yor and Anya smiling and having a good time not even three scenes later. He's breaking his shell and becoming relaxed and vulnerable.

My mother and I are both watching the series. We just finished episode 3 and I got to say, this Anime is a delight to watch! I can definitely see where all the hype is coming from. My mother is really enjoying it too.

I needed an anime like this. It feels so familiar, cozy and kind, like being at home. I just hope it has a happy ending, because after the depressing ending of shingeki (I love it though) I need a happy story to cheer me up.
