Kevin has been looking to upgrade from his fa1 for quite a while now. He finally found a stock, low mileage 2009 Honda Civic Si in his favorite color, Ralleye Red. We took the car on a test drive and it didn't go as planned ...

Thank you all for watching :)

I just picked up an '09 SI coupe with 27K original miles; belonged to a 77 year old guy who rarely drove it. I'm truly blessed :-)

You can easily get those valves adjusted. I know it’s costly but it’s something all 8th gen civics need. Mine is at 100k and probably will need it soon.

WTF 14K for that DAM. Good call on the motor. It might be low miles but they were abusive low miles.

I'm looking for an fa5 and most are around 110k or 150k do you think it will still be reliable?

Glad y’all ditched that FA5, tons of red flags… keep ya head up and keep searching. $14k is highway robbery for a car with a lot of big problems as well as the dealer being shady and lying about “fixing it”. If it only has 79k on it, that goes to show how hard the previous owner(s) beat the life out of that poor car and did not take care of it at all lmao

As an example I scooped my habanero FG2 with also 79k miles for $4000 less and had no issues other than 2nd/3rd gear which I’ve now cured

It's always 4 when I start my fa5 now. Might have been the vtc actuator failing. 14k though.. Walk away.
