If I was that age again that’s all I would’ve needed to know that this is one of the best freedoms in the world ever. These little clone bikes are perfect stepping stones to see if a kid has the biker dna 😎 as long as they have an adult with them to keep them safe though. These little bikes need a bit of looking after to keep them running safe

It needs that exhaust pipe connected because it needs the expansion chamber (fat part of the pipe) for it to create back pressure. Otherwise you’ll blow the motor like i did.

In europe we have these things but full size and street legal
They can reach over 30 HP if you tune them really really well with the best components

That’s a 2 stroke, you will put a hole in the piston, they use the sound waves produced by the exhaust to make power. I highly recommend leaving the exhaust bolted on. If you want real power have a ktm 50 exhaust welded to fit it

That is not a straight pipe in any sense.

A straight pipe produces suction to help draw out the exhaust gases.

A disconnected exhaust pipe prevents the suction and reduces power.

That said, for everyone discussing backpressure: exhaust back pressure is a bad thing. These engines do not use backpressure for any practical purpose. The misconception is spread by people who are unfamiliar with fluid dynamic science are confused by the concept of "exhaust scavenging."

Fast moving gases travel out through the exhaust pipe and the faster they are moving the LESS pressure that occurs as the cylinder empties of exhaust. This is a good thing. The benefit of a narrow straight pipe is that the gases move FAST, not that they have more backpressure. In fact, as I said, the narrow straight pipe creates a suction effect in the cylinder.

As hard as it might be to wrap your head around, the skinny straight pipe is creating suction not backpressure.

That doesn't seem like the type of bike that would break in likr 3 weeks, this seems like a really good minibike.
