Показать описание
Here are 6 tips for entering (and possibly winning) the U.S. green card lottery.
#1: Enter Now
This year's program opened up on October 5, 2022 and the deadline is November 8, 2022.
#2: Apply on the U.S. Government's Website
It's the only place you can enter. It's free. And you can do it yourself. Just follow the instructions very carefully.
#3: Ensure that You're from an Eligible Country
The lottery is designed to promote immigration from certain countries where the U.S. doesn't already have high admissions. Therefore, certain countries are ineligible, year to year. So if you're a native of one of these ineligible countries, don't bother to apply this year (but check-in again for the new list of ineligible countries next year):
Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (including Hong Kong), Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Phillipines, South Korea, UK (except Northern Ireland and its dependent territories, Venezuela, and Vietnam.
#4: Spouses Should Apply Separately
If you're married, both spouses should apply separately and independently. And if you have children over the age of 16, they should apply separately and independently as well.
#5: Don't Apply More Than Once Per Year
Don't apply more than once per person per year. If you apply more than once in the same year, they'll reject all of it.
#6: Submit a Valid Photo
Make sure to submit a VALID photo. Follow the photo instructions very carefully or they will reject your entire application.
