Good tips. One thing no one talks about with starting a lawn business? Money management. Mismanage income and it won't matter how many yards you have. Good luck to new guys.

If you're going to start a lawn care business make sure it's going to rain ☔😔

I like the idea that you work for a lawn care company to learn the work, with an end to starting your own business to be a competitor against the lawn care company that taught you everything you know! Big Slytherin energy, there! 💜🐍

Get multiple lawns around each other. Minimize drive time which does not make you money. Offer slight benefits for referrals like one time free cuts etc.

I struggled with pricing in my area. My $25 minimum is usually readily accepted for small lawns, but folks with bigger lawns seldom wanted to pay $50 or $60. I've got a dozen customers right now and most are small yards that I only make $25 for.

If you’re going to start a lawn care business make sure you understand the direction that your trimmer spits out the clippings.

Stihl has all electric products now that can run a long time. Even blowers. The Mainly use the backpacks but they can last more than 8 hrs. They even have 3yr guarantee longer than the one year gas equipment.

I have a vacant lot if anyone needs a place to practice using their equipment. Of course, I will pay but according to your price and skills.

No way I'm working for somebody else again. I used to be in sales and landscape with 1 employee. Never worked a landscaping job, so it's all DIY experience and research.

No hate to ANYONE. My point is that a lot of landscaping companies take advantage of workers and frown on you picking up business information anyway.

Doesn't learning as much as possible go without saying at any job?
