This computer science video is the second in a series about linear algebra for computer scientists. In this video you will learn how to calculate the magnitude of a geometric vector. You will see that to calculate the magnitude of a vector, in two or three dimensions, you must find the length of the hypotenuse of a right angle triangle using Pythagoras’ theorem. You will also see how the magnitude of a vector with any number of dimensions can be easily calculated. The term unit vector, that is a vector with a magnitude of one, is also defined.

Chapters:
00:00 Magnitude of a vector?
00:18 Pythagoras’ Theorem
01:00 Magnitude of a 2 Dimensional Vector
01:30 Unit Vectors
02:05 Magnitude of a 3 Dimensional Vector
03:20 Magnitude of a vector with any number of dimensions

If only I had teachers like you when I was in school/college....

Math and computer science are my hobbies... I'm unfortunately very illiterate when it comes to 'exact sciences ', but that's why we should never give up to self-study

Thank you once again Kevin!
