I like Linear Algebra And Its Applications - Lay. Has tons of good illustrations on where certain terms are ending up after some operation. Another great choice for beginners

Using Antons Elementary LA atm but I might check this out. I tried LADR and it wasn't vibin with me. I'm actually going to sit down and watch your videos right now. Just got to elementary matrices and wanna see some action. Tired of reading lol

I tried to use this book to self-learn linear algebra while I was locked up, but it just doesn't have enough exercises. I switched to Howard Anton's Elementary Linear Algebra and mastered the subject. But I highly recommend Strang's MIT YouTube lectures, though.

You often talk about studying math with deeper understanding of concepts. So I would like to know your opinion on the debate of Rote learning vs. Meaningful learning. Personally I prefer meaningful learning as it forms a firm foundation which enables to apply the concepts and solve new problems logically rather than solving some problems with recurring pattern through rote learning.
