Kirkland vs Brita Water Filters – Weighing Their Pros and Cons (Which One Should You Buy?) Welcome to our video, Kirkland vs. Brita Water filters.

The main difference between Kirkland and Brita water filters is the filtration technology.
Kirkland water filters use a blend of activated carbon and ion exchange resin to remove impurities from the water. The activated carbon helps to reduce chlorine and other volatile organic compounds, improving the taste and odor of the water. The ion exchange resin helps to remove hardness minerals such as calcium and magnesium, which can cause mineral buildup and affect the performance of plumbing fixtures and appliances.

On the other hand, Brita water filters use a combination of activated carbon and ion exchange resin in their pitchers, and a different technology, known as an activated carbon block, in its faucet-mounted and under-sink systems. The activated carbon block filter provides improved filtration compared to the simple activated carbon and ion exchange resin used in Brita's pitcher filters. The activated carbon block filter can remove a wider range of contaminants, including fine particles while maintaining an efficient flow rate. Due to the advanced filtration technology, Brita filters are more effective in removing finer particles and other contaminants.

Similarities
The main similarities between the two are compatibility and ease of use. Both brands offer a range of products, including pitchers, faucet mounts, and dispensers that can be used with their filters.
Kirkland and Brita filters are designed for simple and convenient use, with many products requiring just a quick and easy installation. Environmental impact: Both brands offer environmentally friendly options for filtering water, such as reusable and recyclable filters.

Costco carries both brands, but the Kirkland is half the cost of the Brita, even at Walfart.

Just an FYI, doesn't really matter about Kirkland pitchers or filters, both are discontinued by Costco. Found this out the hard way after my pitcher crapped out and I tried to find a new one (as of May, 2023). Believe me, I asked and they looked it up. Grrr. There's none on any store shelves although the website is still selling the filters. Trying to find a Brita pitcher my Kirkland filters will work in since the box indicates they'll fit "most pitchers from Brita." Maybe a better idea would be to post a video for people like me who are trying to find a suitable Brita pitcher for their leftover Kirkland filters? Just an idea. Cheers!
