This game is jampacked with so many easter eggs, hidden details, and references from the Stitchwraith to the Survival Logbook coupon etc. There are over 70 things that I found within this game - a lot you may have missed... this is my analysis for the full game of Five Nights at Freddy's Into the Pit and a breakdown of EACH and EVERY moment, including literally all FNAF easter eggs and details that I could possibly find!

Five Nights at Freddy's is an indie video game series and media franchise created by Scott Cawthon, later adapted by Steel Wool Studios and Illumix. Ozwald probably drew the animatronics (that he also said were in his dreams) because he’s been hanging out at the pizza place all summer, slowly getting more and more effected by the ghosts, until the ballpit tips him fully over the edge.

There’s actually another secret phone call you can do. I don’t remember the exact phone number, but if you call a certain amount of 5s in a row (pretty sure it’s 7 of them), Oswald’s teacher will answer

Another potential easter egg is comparing some of the kids from "the past" in day 1 to the adults in the current time. It might provide some evidence for memory vs time-travel:
* There's a blond girl in a pony-tail with then orange glasses in a blue dress - exactly like mum. They're in the pit room and can be seen as a group of four kids running our the exit.
* Speaking of the group of four kids running out, one of the girls in the red dress and black glasses looks like the principal (I can't find them before the incident).
* Another running away kid looks like a younger version of the man in the red shirt in day 2 (complains about town isn't how it used to be - can't find them before the incident).
Less clear:
* Another kid looks like the teaching assistant with a clip-board
* Another kid looks like Mrs Meechan
*Chip yellow shirt - looks like the guy with fluffy hair on day one
* Woman complaining about quality over quantity (Day 3??) looks like the hungry kid that gets put into the suit - hard to tell biological gender
Even weirder:
* There's a blue wearing all blue in brown hair (looks like a kid version of dad from the back) - he's a repeated asset
* Kid in white hoodie kinda looks like a younger version of Jeff (another repeated asset).
* A lot of repeated kids - don't know if its due to game design vs lore
Hard to explain why a bunch of adults stayed around their home-town when chased by a creepy rabbit in a bunny suit as a kid and still visit the same location...

9:53 777464 would give you "Spring" if typed on a T9 keypad, the 8 at the end would give you a T... so the number is "SpringT(rap)"
The next number, 787738, that would give you the word "Puppet"
And finally 626453 is "Mangle"

If it’s the game timeline, he probably saw it at fazbear frights or somewhere online. The games are canon inside of the games themselves remember.

I want to say that me and the community has narrowed down the timeline of ITP present day is indeed between Sister Location and FNAF 3, I have a post on reddit giving the basic info from the post and the replies. I'll share it if people are curious

Phone guy's dialogue changes every night. Nothing really interesting in them tho but in Night 5, he tells you to pass on the info to the next guy, implying that there are multiple phone guys and their cumulative knowledge are passed down to the next guy.

Haven't played the game yet, but I think into the pit is an in-universe game. So it's likely that the Fazbear Frights books were elaborate cover-ups. So Fazbear Entertainment is probably adapting said books into games.

With all of the odd easter eggs from games, books, and the movie, I suspect that this game is hinting the books aren't in the timeline.

If they were, there would be two separate cases of a blond character with a troubled parternal relationship enters a respresentation of the Fazbear hayday ending in tragedy, plays minigames filled with references to the past, and gets lured to a backroom by a glitchy, fleshy bunny entity only for it to replace the character's father in their mind or trap them inside this broken world.

It's also odd that the game so heavily references the movie, so is that in-continuity too?

Btw the 6th kid is likely Andrew given that in the party hat minigame, the secret 6th one is directly attached to Afton/the purple guy sprite, similar to how Andrew was attached to him in TMIR1280

(If it is indeed canon) here's my answer.

First of all there is no way of knowing if the game is canon to the main timeline nor if it confirms Stitchline games. *And no, the Fazbear Frights nods and references are not concrete evidence unless they are actually acknowledged in the game, otherwise they are just Easter eggs and fun references*. Just bringing that to attention, now let me tell you when it most likely takes place.

OK so we all know the past sections are in August 1985 but what about the present sections, well we have to look at the narrative and break it down.

So Oz's dad worked at the mill and it's implied the mill was used to make animatronics via the parts and scraps found outside or at the very least all the scrappedstuff from Freddy's was left there in the pile of junk. So Oz's dad likely is either an ex builder of animatronics, repaired them, shipped them off to the Pizzerias or was a fan of Freddy's as a kid.

Now how does this help place ITP in the timeline, well the animatronics are not being made anymore at that point which puts it before AR as that's where the original animatronics were being made agian to ship them to people'shomes. We can also take this one step further and say it takes place before FNAF 3 because Fazbear Frights is using all the remains of the fazbear franchise to make a horror attraction.

We can also say that since the animatronics aren't being made anymore then FNAF 1 would be before ITP as after the FNAF 1 location was abandoned the company was done soon after. And BonBon is there in the junk pile likely there because he had no place being in Ennard.

So we can say that the present time in ITP takes place between 1993 (FNAF 1)/whenever Sister Location takes place - 2015/23 (FNAF 3), further evident by the fact that Jeff's Pizza is worn down as a hole likely meaning Jeff's bought it when it was abandoned to save a quick buck (definitely a Jeff thing to do, lol).

So we have a time frame, but what if we can tell you that we can narrow itvdown and say the exact possible years it could take place.

We know from the school calendar that the first day of the month of August was Wednesday. After 1985, the years that's possible is 1990, 2001, 2007, 2012, 2018, 2029, 2035, 2040, and 2046 (in the timeframe we've established for FNAF timeline stuff).

So with the timeframe I just mentioned the possible years are 2001, 2007, 2012 and 2018.

We can't say for certain but the graffiti at the start if the game does have a spot that can be interperated as 2018 but there no way to know as it is very messy but if you want a specific answer, there you go.

So there you go, my best possible attempt to place it in the FNAF time (if it is indeed canon).

We figured out the Afton Death number because when you turn the number into a word with the common letters for them on a phone you get “SPRINGT”

9:55 if you open your phone app or look at a house phone, and look at each number on the dial key, you can spell the word "Spring" and then some other letter, either T, U, or V.
