I can remember hearing as a child "this layer took this amount of time to form" and I knew then that logically didn't make sense. Because also as a child I had been in coal mines and seen these layers with plants growing through many different layers. Or you would see these layers here in Wv folded over on themselves, which I don't care what they say how long it took, rock doesn't fold. Mud but rock does not.

You say they have the same facts, however, where are sand injectites, radio halos, k-feldspare, angular grains, non-metamorphosed bent grains, lack of bioturbidity, erosion rates, and etc etc etc? They may have the same access to the facts, but most people don't know any of this.

The Colorado river meanders. Meanders only occur with slow moving water.
The scablands of Washington state are a result of mass flooding. Very different to the Grand Canyon.
Mass flooding doesn't result in neat layers because everything is churned up. Sedimentation only occurs in shallow seas.

My impression was that an ancient sea bed was first , then a great volcanic eruption and lava flow over the seabed. then in time the mountain of rock covered over an great underground sea or river. A flow of melting ice flowed under the canyon washing out the underground seabed. Until there was a great cavern beneath the lava flow or mountain, Then the river kept digging under the mountain until the rocks cracked in earthquakes and fell into the underground river and then the underground river became exposed to the air, as the water kept washing away the falling debris. That was my impression.

If the old Earth theory is true and modern man has only been around for a few 10 thousands of years, why hasn't mankind observed an evolution of any species? Let alone a fossil record of a transition?

I believe in an intelligence without a doubt because of the complexity of life, the mechanisms and mcahines that replicate DNA and repair DNA which a "primordial soup" has no chance of having or developing from non organic material containing to information. I have problems with ghe Bible though and theyre many. I dont see how the flood would have to be world wide because who lives in north America at the time? There's not many generations between Adam and Noah. Were the natives there? If so how did they get there and who made them seeming they wouldn't ve descendants of Adam at this time. So why would flood have to cover the entire planet?
