Real T-Rex Sounds: The Third

Wear headphones or get good speakers!

I went back to the first Real Trex Sounds video and expanded on it. This time, it's more of the same thing but with a sci-fi twist to it, while keeping the Trex vocals realistic and believable as a real animal. They sound like the MUTOs and Godzilla from Godzilla (2014). Also in that movie, the film-makers wanted the monsters to sound like real animals. So this Trex is like a Kaiju in a weird but interesting way.

Instead of looking for a paleo accurate T.rex, I went for The Isle's Rex because the Rex design is suitable for these sounds. The model is by Jacob Baardse, he makes amazing dinosaur models! Check his work out in The Isle, Saurian, and his art station page!

The most terrifying thing to consider is that if you heard this in the woods, you were LUCKY. Chances are, they're just talking with their family. If one was actively hunting you, you'd never even know it was there.

This sound really invokes a primal fear which cannot be described in words. Just imagine being in a cretaceous tropical forest and hearing this sound pierce your very being

I can definitely hear the Godzilla inspiration in this. Especially the MUTO’s clicking and Godzilla’s atomic breath charging up

Deep in the forests of the late Cretaceous you hear, or more accurately feel, these sounds break the normal sounds of the night. They get louder and louder, shaking you more and more as you hide, unsure where they are coming from when suddenly they stop. You look around, why did they stop? Then you realize why with deep cutting dread that chills your very soul:

The T.Rex already found you.

Given the seize of a full grown Rex? That sound must have been vibration amplified and LOUD ! Terrifying!!

I wonder what one would have sounded like when it was angry. These low rumbles and hums are terrifying, but they do all sound like normal vocalisations, for the sake of communication more than anything else. Maybe an angry Tyranno would have sounded something like a really low-pitched war horn. Or maybe it even hissed, who knows?

This one feels the most close. Most others I hear are too metallic and just sound generic.

JP rex making these noises while searching for you.... Then roars when it finds you, that to me is horrifying, to take the scariest aspects of both, gives me goosebumps

Despite my skepticism over the end result of this production I do like it a lot and Tyan could well have sounded like this: ominous, terrifying, and yet musical. Far scarier than a mere roar. Perhaps rex did both closed mouth and open mouth sounds. This is what Godzilla should sound like, but magnified 10 to 100 times and even lower in pitch, perhaps below hearing threshold, as with elephants and some of the subsonic vibrations of earthquakes.

I played this by my cat and her ears perked up and she started to look worried and she started looking left right up and down

Imagine in a horror movie, those scenes that are from the monster's perspective, then, cut back to the human perspective, it is almost pitch black, and then, they hear this sound: 1:49 - 1:50.

I played this sound with my mini speaker and oh my God! My speaker was vibrating and moving fast. I have heard An adult male lion sound from close and felt the power of it's roar. But if I hear this sound of Tyrannosaurus closely, I would be dead. Great Job dude.
