Discover the Secret Ingredient to Delicious Roost Sables in Animal Crossing: New Horizons!

Brewster is a heckuva barista, but an even tastier cookie. Here's how you make a Real-Life Roost Sable. Here's how you make it.

For sable dough:
220g butter, softened
160g powdered sugar
4 egg yolks
1 vanilla bean, scraped and seeded or 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
400g flour
20g cornstarch
Pinch of salt

For Roost Sables:
1 teaspoon ground coffee

Mix together flour, salt, and cornstarch in a medium bowl. Set aside. In a mixing bowl, whisk butter and powdered sugar.

Once all sugar is incorporated, add egg yolks one at a time until they are totally mixed in. Once all eggs are in, add reserved flour in three increments. Scrape down bowl as needed when making the dough.

Divide dough into four equal pieces. Fold in ground coffee into one of those four pieces. Place individual pieces into a quart size bag and roll into an even thickness. Place in the fridge for at least half an hour, or freeze for no more than 2 months.

To make sables. Rip open the bag and place on a parchment lined sheet. Dip cookie cutter in flour and cut out cookies. Remove excess dough and re-roll if you wish. Place pan in the fridge for at least 10 minutes.

Bake in a 325 degree oven for 15-20 minutes, turning halfway. Allow to cool in the pan for five minutes, then place on a cooling rack until cooled completely. Serve alone, or with your favorite beverage.

I actually did also injury myself by cutting my right thumb which is my non-dominant hand in my Culinary class, cooking is always full of injuries. I had a hard time typing on my phone, I tried cutting a carrot but my finger slipped. It's a small scar now.
