I’m still blown away that no one is just “ripping off” the Valve Index controllers. Whenever I’m throwing an object or letting go of one in VR, naturally I went to let go of the controller. It’s still very odd to only extend your index and middle fingers to let go of something.

The story behind this "leak" video is that apparently they were left behind at a hotel by mistake and later picked up, but while they were still at the hotel a staff member took the pics and video.

The amount of ignorance in these comments is amazing. We do NOT know what the specs, FOV, etc. are. It has not been officially announced yet. We will find out early next month at Meta Connect 2022, and the headset is NOT geared to average consumers nor is it a replacement for Quest 2 like Q2 was for Q1. It will be released in late October.

I'll add my $0.02. If the Quest Pro 2 is anything like I Dream it will be. Great graphics, complete AR & VR capability, comfortable, with at least a 2 hr bat life untethered. And in no way a compromise to the quest 2. Then I could see it being worth the (not confirmed) $1500.
On the other hand I'm fully expecting this to be aimed at businesses. Get this and look at all the money you can save in office space. Then I wouldn't want it as much

They already increased the cost of Quest 2 128GB version to 450€, maybe to empty inventory to Meta Quest Pro, but the later will cost $900 minimum, so i don´t see the relation, it´s not a direct replacement. Perhaps Meta changed their mind and making META Quest Pro at an afforable price since the competitors will also offer a next gen headset later this year.

2:45 I don't think this information is accurate. I'm pretty sure it's using the same xr2 chipset, the form factor is different though.
The New SOC doesn't stack the memory modules on top of the APU, so it should lead to better cooling but that's it.

Without covering the surrounding, it is out of the box more an AR than a VR System. There is nothing more annoying than light coming into a VR headset. With an estimated expensive pricepoint, the pro should be useable as a real VR headset out of the box without need of modding or getting addon equipment. Hope the retail system will be suitable for both (AR and VR). Kind regards
