I'll show you how to make sourdough bread faster! My insanely easy method of making sourdough, which I’ve linked below, takes about 24 hours from the time I mix the dough to the time I bake it but I don’t always want to wait that long. So today I’ll show you how I adjust my method when I want bread in half the time. These adjustments also work better for people in warmer climates or on hotter days where 24 hours of fermentation is too long. I’ll also show you how my method works with all white flour and this recipe is vegan.

Recipe for 1 loaf
500g bread flour (this is approximately 3 cups + 2 Tbs)
2 tsp himalayan pink salt
2 Tbs dried rosemary (optional)
2 Tbs olive oil (optional)
2 Tbs fed starter or 3 Tbs unfed starter from fridge
1 ¼ to 1 ½ cups warm water

Just a tip, an easy way to line a loaf pan with parchment is to invert the pan on counter, form paper over outside of pan. Then, turn pan right side up and insert the paper. I've found that it takes some of the time out of the parchment lining process. Great recipes.

I used your recipe (minus the rosemary) and finally made my first loaf of sourdough. I let mine ferment for about 20 hours and baked in a glass loaf pan coated in butter. Turned out perfect! Thanks for posting 😊

Rosie girl thank youuuu for this video!! I have made this three times already and I LOVE being able to make same day bread! My house is pretty warm during the day and using my oven light helps everything move along so quickly. Bread comes out great!! Also you have made my life and wallet so much happier! I have the same plastic container and it works so well for me, use my loaf pan no need for a dutch oven i mean come on! It doesn’t get any better/easier than this! I have been having fun playing around with different temps and bake times to find my ideal finish and I cant cook well but somehow I’m making decent bread from scratch, my family is impressed 🤣🥳🥳💕

New subscriber from Michigan I put in the search for quick sourdough recipes because my starter is ready to make some sourdough and I am gluten-free so I've got all my flowers and everything ready I just figured I didn't want to wait 2 or 3 days to make my bread I want it now so I thought I would do this and then your channel come up across here so I watched it and I want to say thank you for sharing your information and I think I would like to try it maybe this summer because right now we have snow on the ground and Arctic blast coming through so I don't think that would work my kitchen is set at 70. I love this recipe! I tried it once to the t and got a wonderful focaccia-like texture. Ever since, I’ve skipped the olive oil and dried rosemary, and I’ve gotten a classic boule baked in my Dutch oven! Highly recommend all your videos to friends!

So, I just made this recipe, and it started out great! I fed my sourdough starter and waited for it to double, then added around 2 tbsp into the flour. I followed the stretching and folding procedure, but did it every hour instead of two. I stretched and folded 6 times. My kitchen temperature was was 86F. However, I didn’t notice an increase in volume or sourness, only the pungent smell of the Rosemary in between each stretch and fold. Maybe something wrong with my starter? I ended up leaving it in the loaf pan for only around 2 hrs, and the dough, of course, did not rise up to the pan’s edges. After the 6 hours of stretching and folding, I didn’t have much time left, so I got all derailed. The loaf ended up flat and having a white crust. Still good though :). I’m not sure what I did wrong, but the 1 hr rest periods did not end up as expected. The dough never developed a sour smell, never had at least a 50% increase in volume, and had no bubbles. Any help would be appreciated. I’ll make this recipe again and see how it goes, hopefully better than this. Thank you for this wonderful recipe though, I’ll really try to practice my baking. 💕

Can I leave it in a proofing oven the entire time? Or do I have to turn it off after an hour. I just assumed it would be faster if I just proof it in the oven the entire time right?

Not sure how you do this with only 2 tbsp starter. I’d say 50-70g is more like it. Did you add instant yeast to it?

I have a theory on how your sourdough starter came out so good in 3 days 🤓 I noticed that you use a wooden spoon to mix your bread and looks like either very similar but I think is actually the same that goes into the starter jar 🫙… well your active yeast lives on your spoon 🥄
