The London Hammer, also known as the "London Artifact," is a hammer found in London, Texas, in 1936. It has sparked debates because it appears to be an old iron hammer encased in rock that some claim could be 100 million years old. This would challenge conventional views of history, as humans were not believed to have existed that long ago.

I found a Civil War cannonball in some brackish water. It was hardly recognizable as such. It was a huge mass of various rocks and debris fused all around it.

Recently, my wife and I were at the Glenn Rose museum. It is well worth the drive. We drove 6 hrs specifically to go there. Absolutely loved it.

It looks like an after Noah's Flood tool. It could be a Roman hammer that found its way there, by trade or Roman exploration.

The key question is the mineralogy of the rock. It is siderite, iron carbomate, which is well known to form rapidly. Other modern items have been found in siderite such as rope. Not accelerated, and no controversy!

Is it a hammer though is there any indication other than it looks like a hammer that it was actually used as a hammer, is there any strike marks wear down were it would show the hammering of another object

Because the wood is still there, I think it would be around the 200 years.
