The most likely explanation for its encasement in rock is that a deposit of highly soluble travertine formed and hardened around it within a relatively short time.
The rock surrounding has not been dated to the Cretaceous period, in contrast to what the video says.

Whats strange is that stone molded so perfectly around the hammer.., it looks to be granite....a stone formed under Very high heat and pressure...high enough to have melted the irón and incinerated the handle., ...???
Also...Not sure if true but I seem to remember them ssying that part of the wood was turning to coal...,

Did previous peoples use frequency to liquefy stone? Also I think that high pressure water was possibly uses to cut stone.

The layers of stone in which it had been found was determined to be more than two hundred, and twenty, million years old.
The wooden handle had already experienced coalification, and had mostly turned to solid coal. Which takes tens of millions of years to occur.
After even further analysis, the hammer's head was discovered to be made of an unknown form of a purified iron alloy, which defies any, and all explanation.
Why? Because, the iron is SO PURE that even with today's finest metallurgical knowledge, and technology, we STILL cannot even hope to reproduce it.
The iron is so pure, that it is totally impervious to all known forms of oxidation. It will never rust, or deteriorate, and will essentially last forever.
The method by which it was made is a complete, and total mystery. The skill, and knowledge required to do so, is simply WAY beyond our current abilities, and our current levels of understanding.

This is nonsense, the hammer has a stamp on the other side of it from a company that operated from 1860 to 1920, so it is no mystery at all, that the minerals around it are predominantly calcium
