silent cases often aren't anymore quiet than regular cases due to restrictive airflow

The only truly quiet cases are the ones that support 160/180/200mm fans, like the Torrent or ProArt cases. Chonker fans running nearly silent chugging tons of air in, then using either two or three 140mm low rpm fans for exhaust, or just going straight positive pressure, will yield the quietist system overall.

The first case had an aio so wouldn't expect it to be loud. Now test a fish tank with one of those dual cpu fans then you wouldn't be able to differentiate from your local airport

I under volt the cpu, which lowers temps, which in turn lowers fan speed, less noise.

I'm in the same predicament. Arous 870 ice, 9800x3d, 1200 watt PSU, MSI case but no rtx 5080 to be had at normal price so it will sit patiently waiting.

If he re-pasted and re-padded the 980, noise levels would normalize as well.

Me personally, i cant stand loud pc's. Even when you can hear it it feels loud for me lol. Ive got an astock challenger rx6600 and r5 5500 with the stock cooler and the montech air 100 argb. The loudest thing is probably my cpu cooler and i kinda feel like replacing it but it is pretty quiet. I also want to get a mechanical keyboard but i feat it might be too loud so im honestly debating on getting another membrane gaming keyboard lol

So, basically, the Antec Silent wasn’t any more “silent” than the other first case, the first system. So much for marketing I guess.

pretty flawed comparison really, blower cards are well known to be one of the worst noise/cooling performers.... should have slotted in the 3080 again and tested - would have taken all of 15 minutes.

I have this case as my home server/NAS populated with 8x HDD's and using the std fans - its pretty damn quiet and wayyyy quieter with the HDD noises you get from a consumer NAS.
Its a big/heavy chonker though being all steel construction and the sound deadening too.

They are not only not silent - they are bloody noisy on a load even with water cooled GPU - AWFUL rip off
