If you want to be cheaper you can actually just take your power supply apart and swap the fan in it. I've done that a few times. Also if you really want silent you could try sound deadening the inside of the case with butyl/dynamat type stuff.

But how lower did your pc got? It would have been more interesting if you did a decible comparison

Back in the 00s like 2006 I got the Vantec Tornado 92mm fan for my CPU. If you think your PC is loud you don't know loud until you have a tornado. It was so absurd but I actually used it for likely around a year and I overclocked my Pentium 4 Prescott CPU with Hyperthreading in all it's glory. This was right before the Core 2 duo's and Core 2 quads came out, we were still on AGP sockets no PCI Express. Those were the days. With my gold plated OCZ Ram, member them?

Nice vid, I would have gone with the nr200 max tho, and use the extra gpu room for a deshroud, way quieter than the stock cooling, but nice to see u having a new build

Noise isn’t really an issue for me, my gpu fans usually spin at 1200 rpm and temp is at 67°C under load and my case fans are at 1100 rpm and cpu fan is at 1600 rpm under load, gpu is usually at 0 rpm and 50°C idle and case fans are at 600 rpm with cpu fan at 900 rpm on idle, I have a GTX 970, an Intel i5 11400F and 16 GB of RAM for reference

I can't afford to build this exact sort of setup right now but this was a excellent video. Cool to see how ITX has progressed since I last got into computer stuff few years ago and great advice for optimizing around the platform, although the vain part of me wishes somehow the case featured a 2 sided if not 3 glass panel but its not like it looks bad as is and low noise is its own sort of luxury, one which i ended up thinking about more and more after ignoring it on my last build

Could have bought a DP 90° extension or the whole cable, you don't need to print anything for those who wonder.

I got a monsterlabo beast, …

It’s taken me 4 months and 3 fan changes to make it truly silent…yes, it has fans. Under 20dbA at full load.
It was a massive headache and as I only recently finished I can’t yet tell you if it was worth it.

It’s a 12900k 3070
NF S12A x2
Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm for CPU. (Runs under 800rpm under load)
NF P14S Under GPU (runs under 500rpm under load)

The idea of a silent PC is nice but with CPU’s that use 250w, the MonsterLabo Beast is not the answer if you want it to be truly passive always.
