I was 6 years old when I saw this, my mom was pretty strict about what us kids were allowed to watch, and I was shocked that she let my siblings and I watch this. I was 6, my brother was 8 and my sister would have been about 3. We sat down in the living room and watched it with our mom, and it scared the hell out of us. My sister not so much, she was sleeping towards the middle of the movie, but my brother and I were sitting on the floor, close to the T.V., I'm talking like only 2 feet away from it. When the scene comes on of the news footage showing the alien sighting that took place in Brazil, scared my brother and I so much, we ran behind our mom when we saw the alien. I had nightmares about the aliens for years, and I tried to avoid looking at T.V. screens, avoiding the reflections they have of the surrounding.

A masterful soundtrack for a movie that depended so much on the mood of the viewer.

You don't need cities on fire and people getting exterminated to make a good alien movie like signs.

Signs is masterpiece, glad i watched it back then in theater. Though people did not recognizes plot's beauty back then. May be it's because of the stories slow pace throughout, but it was greatly directed. Cinematography is top It is faith and belief in the end. Actors did great job, music gives some mysterious, soothing and haunted atmosphere feel (Specially this one)

I saw this movie when I was a boy, before I truly understood it. I was never the same afterwards. Now that I am a man, I realize how deeply the movie reflects my life. My doubt, and my fear.

Tell Graham to see.

A lot of people talk of this movie as a horror movie and that the music is creepy. My impression is that the music actually has some kind of happines and a feeling of curiosity to it. Wanting to know more about the aliens and being excited that we arent alone in this world, that is what it sounds to me.

My uncle wanted to take me to see this in the theatre's when I was a kid but I was too chicken, later we watched it at home and yea there would've been no way I would've handled it in theatre, I was 6 when I first learned what "aliens" were, it fascinated me, I was 11 when this came out, and the impact it has had in my life has only increased, I saw my first ufo in January of this year, somethings out there.... Right?

James Newton Howard is a master of conveying thoughts and emotions through his music, especially on Shymalan films. Certain notes and phrases really make you feel what the characters on screen are feeling in a way that’s more than just watching them act.

I also have the experience of many, having watched it when I was a child, I could never watch it all, I was very afraid, especially in the part where the priest cuts the alien's fingers

Now that I've grown up, I understand the true meaning of this movie, I've always been fascinated by it since childhood, and always will be.
