This is what I did, and then repeated the question back to them to make sure i understood. Gave me a good 30 seconds to compose myself and think of an answer

I didn't know we could do this, I just asked them to repeat the question and the interviewer (bar raiser) ended up putting it on the chat. Hope it didn't sound negative, and impact my outcome.
