Great video - thanks - clear, step by step instructions - worked for me EXCEPT the back up didn't work at first - had to click on "Never" (since I hadn't previously back up my Chats) and then select Back up to Google Drive "Only when I tap "Back Up"

Thank you very much on tutorial, I have very important question what no one speak about in WhatsApp tutorials.I need help with WhatsApp transwering old chat history with old deactivated contacts from who we have been comunicate and receiving calls, messages photos, videos, voice messages. This is my question: if we instal our WhatsApp account to new phone, will WhatsApp transwer all chat history and other media ( photos, videos, voice messages, missed calls and received calls from conversations with old contacts what is deactivated example 1-2 years ago where we only see person contact info "INVITE"? coz that contact have been deactivated his/her WhatsApp account but we still have history chat from same contact all conversations: messages, calls, videos, images, old group chats from same contact, person- who deactivated his/her account. Is back up transferring works with old deactivated contact? Will all history chats shows up from old deactivated and active contacts on new phone where we will instal WhatsApp and transwer our WhatsApp account? 🙏🏻

Can we transfer from the local backup instead of backing up in google drive? For example in the files folder in the phone there is whatsapp folder with all the databases. Can i transfer the file to my laptop using the cable and then transfer the entire folder to my new phone?
I know its a long process but will it work and the messages or pictures will be in correct contacts? As i remember once before the pictures or videos got messed up and i found them under different contacts.
