I love that Yamaha has finally fitted nice brakes to it. My old R1M certainly didn't come with Brembo. I know looks are subjective but if it's a great bike you'd be silly to ignore it simply on looks.

Great review as always had the last SP a few years ago had a test ride on the standard 24 model and ordered the 24 SP straight away just makes you smile all the time 👍

I have a 2013 SpeedTriple SE, and man, that engine just put a smile on my face every time i m on it (this is how i know i have the right bike for me).

XSR900 GP is my treat, on order for 2024. Tested this for a side by side comparison and it simply came down to curb side appeal and which one I’d enjoy more each time I looked and then rode it. I also preferred the rider position and the slightly longer swing arm.

I decided to go for the 2024 MT-09 SP over the XSR 900GP. It will be arriving on August 12th, so i will be part exchanging my gen 1 MT-07.

I am a Triumph fan boy, I own a 765RS.
That said this NEW MT-09 Finally with Brembo's is a big deal. It is now very much a contender for my next bike along with the KTM 990.

Hi, I had all previous generations from 2014 up to this one, including a gen 2 and gen 3 SP. I got the gen 4 SP 3 weeks ago, and it's definitely the best of the crop. SP on any yamaha model stands for " sports production '" Keep up the good work on the channel, and hopefully, see you again at next year's ABR 👍
