after 1 year of running only exact match campaign on max conversions TCPA. I decided to run an experiment campaign with googles recommended broad match keywords as well as using max conversions ROAS instead of TCPA. Its only been a week and its outperformed my normal campaign. My normal campaign would get around 300-400 conversions a month for the last 6 months so I think the key might be having a large enough data set for google to use in order for broad match to work effectively. I'm in ecommerce BTW.

If we use broad match, then Google ads start showing ads on very irrelevant search query. Those search qeury have very different organic results than our added keyword, so Google understands that user intent is very different for those keywords. Still, they show ads on those search query, it clearly means that they just want to earn more from ads and nothing else.

Hey kinda need some answers - are we able to use broad keywords for Impression Share campaigns? mine says it cant but not sure if im doing the wrong setting?

What about running a broad match campaign at a lower budget alongside a high-intent exact match campaign? With a high cpc local niche for example. Do you recommend?

Hi Ben, Great video!I have a question. I own an e-commerce gift store on Shopify selling jewlery gifts that come with a message card and also personalized metal wall art as housewarming gifts..I am thinking about only running google shopping Ads for 20 products(10 jewellery + 10 metal wall art products) but I am confused how much daily budget should I set up this google shopping Ad campaigns for? As in do you decide daily budget on mean CPC per google keyword planner? If that the case then the average CPC for both my message card jewelry products and metal wall art product comes out to be $3 average so does this mean I should set up daily budget for google shopping campaign containing these 20 products to $60 per day ($20*3 CPC)? I would greatly appreciate your response, thanks!

Google wants you to run broad match so the results will be less relevant to users so they'll do more searchers so they'll see more ads, so you'll pay them more. They profit from it.
