Judging by the size of the gap, they tried cutting it with a deburring disk, not an actual thin cutting disk.

Oh, it's nice to see everybody Giving the criminal some advice about cutting the pipe. Or they were using the wrong kind of cutting desk. I had my Electric bike stolen.😢 They cut a lock off my shed to chain off the bike and took it while the alarm was still blasting. I strongly suggest getting a good g.P.S.
