Poorman Calls In To KROQ On Bean's Last Day

One of the big surprises of Bean's last morning on KROQ was an unexpected call from Jim "Poorman" Trenton, a former KROQ on-air host and co-creator of "Loveline". Much of the surprise came from the fact that Poorman and Bean have a complicated history - Poorman was let go from his position on KROQ after orchestrating a prank in which he brought hundreds of listeners to Bean's house in the middle of the night. The incident resulted in chaos and forced Bean to move out of that home. Watch the interview to see the contentious discussion about what went down all those years ago.

Poorman made the show loveline we all know it. No one would even know Dr. Drew or Adam if weren't for the poorman starting up the show. He brought out laughter along with truths others could not dig up from their listeners. With his light hearted responses he was able to get people to talk about serious concerns. No one else to date in our society came close to revealing these sexual/love concerns of our younger generation. They had to bring in Dr. Drew for the clinical and potential legal problems of giving out medical advice from poorman. During the last show of Kevin & Bean you see the arrogance of the opportunist. The followers. Adam's smug remark with no gratitude for his opportunity to jump on the coattails of the ten years of talent on the show. Who wouldn't be irritated. I hope for everyone to obtain peace & success. Kroq needed to bring the rigid filtered second string in to cover what was left of loveline after poorman left. Kroq couldn't deal with the heat of freedom of speech with all the success it brought them.

Congrats to all of those DJs being good corporate lackies, keeping their jobs for decades and playing by the rules. Poorman did something wild and funny. That's what listeners want. That's show business! No other station did that, or since to my knowledge.

Poorman was always doing dumb stuff on KROQ since he started. That was his calling card. He lost out on a lot after getting fired. Loveline got massively popular. I love Kevin and Bean, but what does it say about KROQ and them when the Poorman, Michael the Maintenance Man, Doc on the Roq, Lisa May, etc. all got let go under strange circumstances.

Yes, these blokes stole your creativity. Your the original with no holds barred. Growing up in So CAL and listening to your show every Sunday in the 90's was one of my best childhood memories. We all know Kevin and Bean, and Adam Corolla had no talent what so over. Its pretty low they had to pick on your career, as they themselves, and KROQ couldnt find a replacement for you. Yea kidding me Rikki Rachtman Headbangers Ball? Adam Carolla forever going puberty voice..Kennedys boyfriend lol. In honor of you Poorman....They ALL DESERVE A JOBEE!!!
