Kevin says goodbye to KROQ

If you’ve listened to KROQ-FM Los Angeles in the past 30 years, you’ll want to listen to this. Kevin says goodbye. The morning show I spent more than half my life building is no more. Kevin was the of the remaining Kevin & Bean Show team members. He was let go, unceremoniously, on March 18, 2020, 30 years and 3 months after his first day on air.

Grew up with Kevin and Bean. Sad that suits run KROQ now. I remember when it was just a small artsy LA station with musicians and music lovers running it. Those days are sooo long gone and Kevin was just a relic from this bygone era. So sad.

Welp, to 98.7 it is. I’m turning 20 next month and I remember listening to Kevin and Bean on the way to school when I was in elementary. Sad times, what a way to treat family.

Yesterday, @kroq
called every one of us on the morning show and told us we were fired.
Me.

Why did @kroq
fire all of us on the morning show? I assume it’s the ratings, which were down. The economy because it’s down. But it’s a pretty crappy way to treat people.

We’re humbled by you spending any time w us. THANK YOU. (Going to sleep for about a week :)
