The thing about allulose that kills the competition for me is that it tastes just like sugar and it behaves like sugar in baking. How you compare with that?

Allulose is one tool I use in addition to adherence to a Mediterranean diet and exercise. I use allulose in advance of fruit consumption. As one study suggested, the burning of carbs first is fine by me as my carb consumption is limited to 25 grams daily. After I burn through carbs, utilization of fat stores has been my focus as I am fat adapted through my diet and two meals a day. I’ve lost 90 pounds and kept it off for two years — with normal ranges for triglycerides, liver enzymes, lipids, fasting glucose and fasting insulin. HbA1c dropped from 6.3 to 5.1. My diet includes healthy nuts, healthy seeds, cruciferous vegetables, cheese, low sugar yogurt, and, yes, animal proteins including salmon, cod, skipjack tuna, sardines and grass fed beef.

I've heard of Allulose before but I never paid too much attention to it, guess I didn't expect something so ultra processed could ever be healthy, but it seems this is an exception.

Masterful storytelling with an elegant scaffolding of scientific studies. Great team, great doctor.

I wish there were short versions of these videos that just gave the conclusion. It's a bit much for me, especially with thousands of videos.
Keep up the great work. ❤️

We need to know the impact of the allulose for the body in term of cancer
It’s maybe be a little to soon but that’s really needed (because some edulcorant like stevia are cancerigene)

My favorite vegan sour gummys (Lily's) have allulose as the main ingredient. They taste most similar to non vegan gummies I remember and are half the calories for a serving.

If you really want to bake something sweet then dates already works great. Even if this rare sugar worked great I don't see how it would change much

Looking for the video Dr Gregor made a few years ago showing higher overall death rates from plant based diets vs carnivore diets. Dr said it was due to some vitamin deficiency. Was quite interesting, forwarded it to a few people. Now it doesn’t show up…appears to have been deleted … Anyone know where to find it … ? TIA

From what I understand, eating a portion of berries has the same effect. I would rather eat blueberries, thanks!

Wow...interesting stuff....I also like how he concluded the video for a change as I'm not lost as to the final take on it as sometimes I am, but I do miss the little joke he usually throws in at the end : D

For those persons who want to have a Sweet taste and definitely less calories I would rather try the sugar as I would use any sugar if I was going to have it very sparingly

Given your video about bananas and smoothies what about dates? Is the polyphenol antioxidant content contained and dates itself also not bio available/absorbed because it is brown? Brown as in not a fresh yellow with a crunch like an apple which it usually looks like for the first one or two weeks. And therefore, does this mean that it would also blunt the availability of other polyphenol, antioxidants, when combined to smoothies or eat together with a meal like oatmeal?

Tried allulose, max of 4 tsp in 18 hr period. Had bad bloating and abdominal distress. Never reacted to anything else like this--not even cabbage. Sorry to say I won't be using it. I don't need to lose weight anyway.

I don't understand why more people don't sweeten drinks, etc., with powdered glycine. Never causes bloating. Tastes very good. Has other nutritional benefits.
