4 oz zucchini = 3 g carbs
4 oz peas = 16 g carbs
4 oz corn = 24 g carbs

Does zucchini really belong with peas and corn as a high-carb food? Maybe not.

I agree with everything else except zucchini. In fact, I just googled to make sure. Zucchini is non-starchy. So yeah, I will continue to enjoy my zucchini noodles.

I was absolutely stunned when visiting the U.S. how much sugar is on everything even your bacon 🤮, unfortunately Australia is starting to head down the same road. Funny thing is once sugar is eliminated for a short period of time your tastebuds actually readjust and sweet things taste triple as sweet as they did before 😱 I find it easy by remembering that cancer feeds on yep, SUGAR . Carbs turn into sugar in the body, so sugar should be something rarely eaten. Just a thought

I used a low carb approach, but not extreme keto. Eate my oats in the morning, eggs, ham and vegetables at lunch, some kind of meat and vegetables at dinner, and a few protein shakes between meals. I cut about 32 kg of fat in 4-5 month. Worked pretty well. O could however feel a recovery difference days after weight training, of I got under 160 grams of protein.

My favorite sugar alcohol is Erythritol because it has no real effect on blood sugar or even tooth decay. I've never been kicked out of ketosis with Erythritol

All the research I've done says that zucchini is a low carb vegetable. Can you explain to me why you included it in this video?

I don’t know what to say about this. This particular video made me raise my eyebrow. I checked zucchini on the glycemic index, I checked it with the American diabetes Association, and I checked it against several medical websites, and everything I am reading about it indicates that it is very low on the glycemic index scale, a great item to have on a diabetic diet, low carbohydrate, and of low caloric value, cooked or raw.

For me it seems to depend on the time of year and how much I have been exercising. Last winter between all the holiday goodies that I let myself indulge in and a nagging chronic injury that would not let me work out the way I had before I wound up packing on almost 20 lbs., and all my clothes got too tight. I felt gross and decided to turn to the ketogenic diet. I did end up losing the extra weight, but now that it is summer and I am not as sore anymore I have been working out much more and I am finding that trying to stick to a really low-carb way of eating is just too hard. I still avoid obvious things with sugar, white flour, and lots of starch, but I do go up to 75 gms. of carbs some days and let myself have those vegetables that used to be no-nos, like squash or sweet potatoes. Not all the time, but I am not afraid of them because I find that my body seems to be able to handle it, and it does not show up in the mirror or on the scale. It just made me too crazy to fret over every single macro all the time anyway.

Omg😩 Can’t have sugar, can’t have alcohol, So we figure eat all the fruits, vegetables and vitamins that we can to stay healthy right? Wrong!! can’t have too much fiber, protein, vegetables🤦🏻‍♀️ So basically drink water and eat paper😭
