The first and main reason is that Poland is the only country to ever conquer Moscow. Our king became a tsar for a very brief period of time. He refused to convert to Ortodox (he was Catholic). because of that he was assassinated and his body cremated. His ashes were then put into the cannon and shoot West (very direction he came from). Russians celebrate National Unity Day to memorize this event on November 4th.
